A while back I revisited the night-time annoyance that is insomnia when I let my calcium stash run out and took my time replacing it. Well, now I've got my body chemistry back to being primed for sleep when it's time to lie down, but unfortunately I feel I have gone too far in that direction.
We're talking narcoleptic-like crashing here. This past week, more times than not I have come to conciousness lying on top of the covers, still in my clothes with all the lights in the apartment on. This morning the computer was even still on. On most of these occasions I have made a start on my bedtime rituals, but somewhere along the way I decide to lie down for just a minute...and then it's morning. Not time to get up. Just enough time to finish getting out of clothes, into nightwear, under covers and close enough to returning to sleep that when the alarm goes off it causes a panic reaction rather than the usual befuddlement.
Happy medium. We're looking for a happy medium here.
